This thought helps reduce the anxiety of purpose in an AGI/ASI world, but also keeps things pragmatic (AI is still improving massively as I write this)

AI is smarter, but in different ways. This subtly is key - yes there will be jobs displaced. But I am more skeptical than before that that there won't be anything left for us to do provided we focus on these differences.

What exactly these differences are is still being determined (and is somewhat predicting the future, which is impossible). But its important for me to remain optimistic, and therefore my new goal is to:

1. Accept progress and some continued progress - being in denial doesn't help
2. Learn to spot these differences as they appear
