Don't Be Boring

Good reminder: https://www.joanwestenberg.com/how-to-stop-being-boring/

Lots of interesting content that hits home to how I have been thinking about how to live, like auditing what you've hidden, and start saying/doing things you would have normally edited out. They also touch on something I believe absolutely - the weird and quirky ones are the people you remember (they also remember the ones who bring intoxicating energy, but that's such a special feature that not many people have it). Do something that challenges you and the status quo - all great advice.

Interesting they think being polarizing actually makes a personality. I think I disagree (ha) - personally, the more I dig into an issue, the less I find myself firmly being able to take a single absolute side without caveats. To me this is important - being absolutist and unwavering in your opinions is a recipe for close mindedness.

In fairness, the author does come around to say:

what actually matters is that you stop preemptively removing the parts of yourself that might provoke a reaction.

Some people are going to dislike you.

They're allowed to.

So if that is the definition of being polarizing, then I'm fine with it.
