Fate is in my control

remember my fate is in my control - just takes a mindset shift

I cannot control the shape and trajectory of tech advancements, but I read two things today that I found helpful in framing a positive mindset.

In other words, what will differentiate people is not how smart they are but their relationship to mental effort.

I can and do put in the effort, that is not the issue. What I really need is optimism in order to free my imagination, which is seemingly more often a challenging ask. I really liked the quote below from Henry Oliver that emphasises the importance of imagination in dictating my/our future:

It might just be the case that the future belongs to those who can imagine it.
