Value of a trusted brand in a 10x software world

ยท Calculating...

If software becomes easier to build and faster to ship, who sustains the share - market and mind?

Established players will initially but may relinquish share to fast moving disruptors. The initial theme here is moving fast, which is nothing new but is amplified by the presence of AI tooling.

But what happens when market saturation occurs, and software can be built almost as fast as the new use cases arise?

Those with a trusted brand can retain shares. Brand is more important than ever, but only if accompanied by the trusted adjective.

Trust can mean trust in your priorities, initiatives, customer care, personnel, and can even encompass factors out of your control (ie. government of your home base). Building a reliable and trustworthy brand will mean communicating everything about your business, people, investments, and social commitments. Customers who align with the brand as a complete package will remain loyal.

Reputation (aka trust) takes a lifetime to earn, but a second to lose. But trust can also slowly erode as a customer's and business' priorities shift.
